This wednesday! Exhibition #3 at Museum of Everything with the Peter Blake collection (he is the designer for Sgt. Peppers cover).
Time Out Mag say: The museum dedicated to showing art created outside the mainstream (and one of our top picks for 2009), reopens with a show based around the collections of objects, ephemera and memorabilia ...collected by celebrated British pop Artist Sir Peter Blake, featuring circus and fairground themes and Victorian taxidermy tableaux that once formed part of Potter's Museum of Curiosities.
EXHIBITION #3
On Wednesday 13th October 2010, The Museum of Everything returns to London with Exhibition #3.
Our collaborator this year is Sir Peter Blake, the godfather of British pop art and a collector par excellence, whose accumulations of self-taught art, found objects and anonymous artefacts inform and inspire his own oeuvre.
Exhibition #3 reveals his discoveries for the very first time, as the museum’s Primrose Hill space becomes a canvas for the largest and most ambitious art installation ever created by the legendary septuagenarian.
Marvel at our assemblies of Punch and Judy and little people! Bedazzle yourself with side-show banners from the Americas! Ride the miniature fairgrounds of retired Norfolk farmer Arthur Windley! Stuff yourself at Walter Potter's Museum of Curiosity, a masterwork of Victorian animalia!
The Museum of Everything is located in Primrose Hill, just five minutes from Frieze 2010, with a free shuttle for all visitors to the fair.
